Introduction

Our department aims to enable students to enjoy learning about News and Video, Digital PR, and Computer-Mediated Communication and grow into competitive professionals in these fields.

The Department of Digital Media & Communication is one of the few in South Korea to embrace a ‘Digital First’ approach to Media and communication.

In today’s world, every company is undergoing digital transformation, and every individual is connected through electronic interdependence. Our department provides specialized communication knowledge and practical skills that align with these trends.

We replace theoretical introductory classes in other similar departments with practical, field-oriented courses. Students will learn the skills and tools in high demand in our industry through hands-on, project-based learning experiences.

Our curriculum is divided into three key areas: News and Video, Digital PR, and Computer-Mediated Communication. Our faculty, with extensive experience in these fields, deliver systematic and advanced education to cultivate the next generation of professionals who will lead the future. Students using their smartphones and PCs for hobbies, communication, and daily activities will gradually develop professional expertise linked to these activities.

In the News and Video area, students will develop the ability to produce and distribute content using the latest media technologies. In Digital PR, they will learn to execute PR and marketing strategies online, communicate with customers, and conduct scientific evaluations. The courses in Computer-Mediated Communication will help students design interfaces and applications that optimize user experiences based on human-computer interaction and develop the ability to visualize and analyze big data in the media.

Graduates of our program will grow into communication experts who combine social science expertise, computing skills, and intellectual imagination, leading the way in the era of intelligence. The Department of Digital Media Communication offers courses that are both engaging and enlightening for its students.
